Dialogue
Cellphone Etiquette
JJ:Hello?
XG:Hey, Jing Jing. It’s me, Xiao Gao!
JJ:Xiao Gao! Why are you calling me? I just sent you a text message! You just breached an inexcusable cell phone etiquette rule!
XG:Are you kidding me? ———————————Go on, tell me some of them!
JJ:Well, you already know one of them, never call someone after they sent you a text message. —————————
XG:Geez, I’m sorry about that. What are some other rules?
JJ:If you do actually send me a text message, you shouldn’t take forever to do it! —————— Does that ring a bell?
XG:Oh, yeah I guess I’m guilty of that one. You know what I don’t like? Is when someone responds with just “ok” in their text message. It makes me feel like I’m not important enough for them to write a longer message. And you know what really irksme the most? ———————————
JJ:Yeah, tell me about it! But do you know what gets under my skin even more? ———————————
XG:Yesterday at lunch, ————————————I thought I was going to go crazy staring at the food.
JJ:Oh, one other thing that drives me nuts is when people speak too loudly into their phones. Hint hint!
XG:Oh, sorry, I’ll speak more quietly…
