"Really, Fox," said Mom. "You're making such a fuss."

Louise called Doctor Ed to come over.
露易丝打给艾德医生请他过来。
Then she stepped on Fox's other skate, bounced down the stairs, flew right out the front door, and ran smack into Mrs. O'Hara.
然后她踩中了小狐的另一只溜冰鞋，滚下楼梯，飞出前门，撞进了奥哈拉太太的怀里。
"Poor Louise must hurt all over," said Doctor Ed.
“可怜的露易丝，摔得太狠了，”艾德医生说。
But Louise didn't cry. She didn't complain. Not even a peep.
但露易丝没有哭，她也没抱怨，连哼都没哼一声。
"Very brave," said Doctor Ed. "Very brave."
“真勇敢，”艾德医生说，“真勇敢。”
"Louise is tough," said Mom.
“露易丝很坚强，”妈妈说。
"Now then," said Doctor Ed. "What's the matter with Fox?"
“现在，”艾德医生说，“小狐摔哪儿了？”
"Oh, it's just a scratch," said Fox. "I don't like to make a fuss."
“哦，就是一点擦伤，”小狐说，“我不喜欢小题大做。”
Mom didn't say a word.
妈妈无语了。
