Microplastics are very small pieces of plastic. Many microplastics are in oceans, in soil, and in food, too. Scientists check the blood of 22 people. 17 people have microplastics in their blood. This happens for the first time ever.

塑料微粒是很小的塑料颗粒。很多塑料微粒存在于海洋里、泥土里，也存在于食物里。科学家给22个人验了血。17个人的血液里都有塑料微粒。这件事是首次发生。

Scientists are not surprised. Microplastics are everywhere around us. They are even in the air.

科学家并不惊讶。塑料微粒充斥在我们周围。它们甚至在空气中。

Scientists don’t know what microplastics can do in the body. Scientists worry what happens if microplastics get into organs.

科学家不知道塑料微粒在身体里会做什么。科学家担心如果塑料微粒进入器官会发生什么。

Microplastics are a big problem. It won’t be easy to fix. It will be a difficult task for future generations.

塑料微粒是个大问题。它不容易解决。对后代来说，它将成为一个艰巨的任务。
