The Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, the country's top political advisory body, will open its annual session on Monday in Beijing.
Wu Jianmin, spokesman for the session, told a press conference that CPPCC members have put forward more than 300 proposals. Most of them focus on the national economy and people's livelihoods.
"On the one hand, the proposals focus on the significant issues related to reform and development, including macroeconomic control, reform of government institutions, financial system reform, climate change and environmental protection. On the other hand, they lay stress on people's livelihood. These include stabilizing consumer prices, increasing employment and education and medical services reform."
More than 2,000 CPPCC members from around the country will participate the 11-day session.
