Chinese NBA star Yao Ming has returned to the U.S. for rehabilitative treatment.

Yao came to Beijing early this month, hoping to recover quickly from his foot injury through traditional Chinese medical treatments.

"They didn't find anything wrong with the treatment for my foot, and the surgery was very successful. I hope that that Chinese medical experts will find a way to help me recover soon. I have some medicine already. After all, the Olympic Games is coming closer and closer."

Yao said he will continue to undergo systematic training in the U.S.

The basketballer will return to Beijing in early July, and spend one month with the Chinese national basketball team before the Beijing Olympic Games kicks off.
