The Shanghai Expo Organizing Committee has announced that tickets for the expo are now on sale.
Chen Xianjin is deputy director of the Bureau of Shanghai World Expo Coordination committee. He estimated the amount of potential foreigners expected for the event.
"We have the plan that overseas visitors will account about 5% of the total, which is about 3.5 to 4 million."
According to the bureau, the 2010 Shanghai entrance tickets are divided into nine categories. They include single and group tickets as well as regular and concession tickets.
The regular tickets for weekdays are each priced at 160 Yuan, or around 23 US dollars.
The entrance tickets will be sold in three phrases, the first is mainly for group tickets, while single tickets will be on sale from the start of July.
The expo will be held between May and October next year.
