US Hiring Declines in May, Unemployment Rate Rises to 8.2 Percent
U.S. companies hired fewer workers than expected last month, adding only 69,000 jobs in May. The Labor Department also revised job numbers lower for the previous two months, pushing the unemployment rate up slightly one tenth of one percent. The disappointing jobs data sent stock markets sharply lower Friday. And as Mil Arcega reports, it's fanning fears that the global economic recovery is running out of steam.
