Immigration agents began this week, rounding up dozens of Central American immigrants who have not complied with deportation orders with raids in Texas and Georgia as part of the federal government's crackdown on illegal immigration.
But lawyers for 12 illegals from four families say their deportations have temporarily been stopped as they appeal to the Justice Department, saying their clients received inappropriate legal counsel.
Though Department of Homeland Security secretary Jeh Johnson defends the raids, saying they are necessary to deter people from illegally crossing our border.
