The Pentagon is confirming that a coalition precision airstrike conducted last week in Raqqa, Syria, resulted in the deaths of three ISIS leaders directly involved in recruiting foreign fighters.
Two of those targeted were involved in facilitating the terrorist attacks in Paris in November of last year.
The third ISIS leader killed in the airstrike was a suicide attack planner who was convicted in absentia in Belgium for a terror plot disrupted in 2015.
A Pentagon spokesman says these latest airstrikes will hamper the ability of ISIS to carry out terrorist operations beyond Syria and Iraq.
