Also, a group of 53 scholars and experts from various countries have also wrote an open letter to the Japanese Prime Minister, urging him to face up to Japan's wartime aggressions.
The letter argues that Shinzo Abe should not only mourn the Americans that died in the Pearl Harbor attack, but also the victims in China, on the Korean Peninsula, and throughout other Asian countries. The letter adds that Pearl Harbor was not the only place that Japan attacked on that day in 1941, as the Japanese Army also struck various parts in the Asia-Pacific region.
Well-known experts and scholars, including film director Oliver Stone and Professor Peter Kuznick from American University, co-signed the letter.
