Exactly 200 years after Jane Austen died, the Bank of England revealing a new £10 note, or as it's better known here the tenner, featuring Austen's portrait.
The note itself is thoroughly modern: made of plastic to combat fakes, although that is proved controversial: the choice criticized by vegans because the notes feature traces of animal fat.
