Keeping finances under control is a struggle for many, but a new study says one of the habits by millennials is hurting them in the pocketbook.
Bankrate.com's survey says the average millennial dines at a restaurant or buys take-out food five times a week and 29-percent of them say they buy coffee at least three times a week.
The study also finds they aren't following the example set by their elders. 54-percent of younger millennials go to a bar once a week, versus about a quarter of Gen X-ers and 19-percent of baby boomers.
