A newly disclosed e-mail suggests Kavanaugh once indicated the abortion case was not settled law. Kavanaugh reiterated his previous testimony that "Roe V. Wade is an important precedent" of Supreme Court.
A day after an anonymous op-ed appeared in the New York Times, top officials in the Trump administration scrambled to deny being the author. A parade of cabinet-level officials called the writer a disloyal coward acting against the nation's best interests. Vice President Mike Pence calls for the author's resignation.
And finally, American actor Burt Reynolds has died at the age of 82. Reynolds, best-known for his role in "Smokey and the Bandit" and "Deliverance", was living in Florida and had health issues. A cause of death has not been confirmed.
