Parents or friends proofreading and making minor changes to university students' work could be caught by a new law. The government has drafted legislation making it an offence to provide services that offer to complete assignments or sit exams for a fee. Under the proposed law, people could face up to two years in prison or a two-hundred-and-ten thousand dollar fine.
82 people have now been killed by the flu in South Australia this year. The total number of reported influenza cases in the state is set to hit 20 thousand, compared to 15-hundred at the same time last year. Last week a 13 year old Melbourne girl died from the flu. In total this year there have been more than 131-thousand flu cases in Australia, killing 287 people.
American billionaire financier Jeffrey Epstein has been charged with sexual exploitation of dozes of underage girls. The indictment accused Mr. Epstein of a number of offences, including enticing girls as young as 14 to his residences in New York and Florida. He claims he didn't molest them. The charges dated back to early 2000s.
