Iran has unveiled an upgraded air defense system which it says is capable of detecting missiles and drones at a range of 400 kilometers. That's according to runs news agency Eisner. The Saturday’s report says the new system is a locally overhauled version of Iran’s imported surveillance radar gamma which had been inoperable citing sanctions lack of spare parts and the inability of foreign engineers to carry out repairs. The unveiling comes amid rising tensions between the country and the United States. The acrimony has flared up ever since US president Donald Trump pulled out of the 2015 nuclear deal and Riaan posed tough sanctions on Tehran.
