Today China is remembering the victims of Japanese aggression during World War Two. Thousands of people gathered at the whole of the victims of a Nanjing Massacre this morning. Young people recited the Ode to Peace and the Bell of Peace was rung. 82 years ago, the then Chinese capital of Nanjing fell to the Imperial Japanese Army. And in the following six weeks, more than 300,000 civilians and unarmed Chinese soldiers were brutally killed. In 2014, China set December 13th as its National Memorial Day, to remember history while cherishing peace.
