U.S. Secretary of State says he recognizes the need to reduce tensions between Turkey and Greece over a territorial dispute in the eastern Mediterranean.Mike Pompeo met with Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu in the Dominican Republic on sunday.Cavusoglu said he explained Ankara's position on the matter.Tensions between the European neighbours have risen over the past two weeks after Ankara sent a survey vessel into the disputed territory.Turkey said the ship was deployed to search for oil and gas.And Greece responded by mobilizing naval units.The European Union has voice solidarity with Greece, which is an EU member.
