Journalist:Hi, Jane. Could I ask you a few questions?

Jane:Certainly.

Journalist:We all know that you're working for an organization that protects the environment. Can you tell us what you are doing there?
记者：我们都知道你在一个环保组织里工作。你能告诉我们你在那里都做些什么吗？
Jane:Well, my main job is to help spread the message about protecting the environment. For example, the three Rs-reduce, reuse and recycle-are important.
简：嗯，我的主要工作就是帮忙传播保护环境的信息。比如，三个R很重要，就是减少、重新利用和可循环。
Journalist:So what can we do at home to protect the environment?
记者：那么我们在家里能做些什么来保护环境呢？
Jane:We should reduce the waste we produce. For example, we should use both sides of paper and reuse plastic bags.
简：我们应该减少产生废物。比如，我们应该利用纸张的两面，而且重复利用塑料袋。
Journalist:What can students do at school?
记者：学生们在学校能做些什么？
Jane:Recycling can protect the environment and it can save money, too. So we encourage students to collect waste paper and soft drink cans. Then we sort them so that they can be recycled.
简：垃圾重复利用不仅能保护环境还能省钱。所以我们鼓励学生们收集废纸和饮料罐。然后我们把他们分类，这样就能重复利用了。
