Full Moon, Full Feelings
月圆满，心情亦圆满
Chinese people have been celebrating Mid-Autumn Festival and enjoying mooncakes for centuries.
中国人庆祝中秋节、吃月饼的习俗已经有好几个世纪了。
Mooncakes are in the shape of a full moon on the Mid-Autumn night. They carry people's wishes to the families they love and miss.
月饼的形状就和中秋节夜的满月一样。它们寄托着人们对他们深爱和思念着的家人的美好祝愿。
There are many traditional folk stories about this festival. However, most people think that the story of Chang'e is the most touching.
关于中秋节有很多的传统民间故事。然而，多数人认为嫦娥的故事是最动人的。
Chang'e was Hou Yi's beautiful wife. After Hou Yi shot down the nine suns, a goddess gave him magic medicine to thank him.
嫦娥是后羿美丽的妻子。在后羿射下天上的九个太阳之后，王母娘娘为了感谢他，给了他一颗仙丹。
Whoever drank this could live forever, and Hou Yi planned to drink it with Chang'e.
无论谁喝下仙丹都会长生不老，后羿准备和嫦娥一起喝。
However, a bad man, Pang Meng, tried to steal the medicine when Hou Yi was not home.
但是，有一个名叫庞萌的坏人，想趁后羿不在家的时候偷走仙丹。
Chang'e refused to give it to him and drank it all. She became very light and flew up to the moon.
嫦娥拒绝把药给他，并全部吞了下去。她变得轻飘飘的，之后就飞到月亮上了。
Hou Yi was so sad that he called out her name to the moon every night.
后羿伤心得每天对着月亮呼喊着她的名字。
One night, he found that the moon was so bright and round that he could see his wife there.
一天晚上，他发现月亮又亮又圆，他能看到自己的妻子在那儿。
He quickly laid out her favorite fruits and desserts in the garden. How he wished that Chang'e could come back!
他很快地在花园里摆放出嫦娥最喜欢吃的水果和点心。他多希望嫦娥能够回来啊！
After this, people started the tradition of admiring the moon and sharing mooncakes with their families.
从此以后，人们开始有了崇拜月亮以及与家人分享月饼的传统。
