Once I asked my father what the secret of success was.
有一次我问我的爸爸成功的秘密是什么。
He didn't say a word, but wrote a few words on a piece of paper and handed it to me.
他什么都没说，不过在一张纸上写了一些字人，然后把纸给了我。
I looked at the paper. on it was written:A=X+Y+Z.
我看着那张纸，上面写着A=X+Y+Z。
"What does it mean?"I asked.
“那是什么意思？”我问道。
"A means success, ”explained my father. "X means hard, Y means good ways, and Z means you must stop talking and start to work."
“A的意思是成功，”爸爸解释说“X的意思是努力，Y的意思是好的方法，Z的意思是你必须停下来说话去工作。”
That's right. From then on, I tried my best to be better.
