G：YesI received this debit noticeWhat is this all about?

C：Oh,this is for the interest charge on your rental which has been outstanding since the first of the month. After the th when your account has been in arrears for more than two weeks,we begin to charge you interest starting from the first,when the bill was due.

G：Well,I had no idea my room bill wasn't paid this month My company usually wires the payment to you directlyIsn't that right?

C：YesUsually they send the payment on time, but this month we haven't received your room-payment to date. Perhaps you could contact them about it.

G：Yes,well,I certainly will

G：I spoke to my company's headquarters in New York. It seems the secretary who's in charge of wiring my rent was on vacation last week. They're taking care of it now. You should have the money in a day or two. Since this is the first time this has ever happened, do you think it would be possible to waive the interest charge this time?

C：I'm afraid I'll have to speak to our manager about that. Just a moment,please
