对于2016年8月20日考生而言，利弊讨论类, 分析问题类提问角度为一类重点。是否同意类和两种观点讨论为二类重点。
在9月换题季之前，预计8月后三场考情稳定，题目依然会源之题库。环保类、犯罪类、科技类、社会类话题遗漏很久，应为备考重点。政府类、教育类话题已经考察较多，可简单复习。除了6大类一级重点话题，其他类型亦有考察可能，考生应勤于练笔，积累相关语料。预测跟踪考情，精选2013-2014年核心母题，复习本篇，已是全面备考。
2016年8月20日小作文备考以数据类图表为重点，尤其重点准备柱形图、曲线图、表格图。建议剑桥雅思系列为练笔材料。
