Recently, China has obtained its most accurate estimates yet of the spread of HIV/AIDS across the courtly by adopting international survey standards for the first time.

Based on a joint survey conducted by the Ministry of Health and World Health Organization (WHO), 840,000 people in China are believed to have HIV/AIDS including 80,000 with full-blown AIDS.

Health authorities concerned have sampled (among) 100,000 people in seven groups, including high-risk populations such as drug users and people selling blood on the black market.

In order to control/check the transmission and spread of AIDS, our government has spent/expended a lot of human and financial resources every year. So far, it seems that one of the effective ways is to conduct large-scale campaign (movements) among the common people / mass education / educate people on a large scale.
