Shock：n. 震惊，震动，冲击 v. 使震惊，使震动，使冲击

His dog's death was a great shock to him. 他的狗之死对他精神上打击很大。

It's hard to pick myself up after such a terrible shock. 在这种可怕的打击后要我振作起来谈何容易。

Most people feel culture shock when traveling to a foreign country. 海外旅行时，许多人会感觉到不同文化的冲击。

To freak somebody out: 吓某人一大跳

You freak me out. 你吓坏我了。
