Future shaping inventions 未来塑造发明

COOL HUNTER:You know, in the future, there's gonna be some really cool stuff. I'm gonna tell you about five things that I think we'll be seeing sometime soon. Hey, that reminds me. If you're watching this, I'm already in the past! Whoa!
COOLHUNTER1:Like, maybe the inventions I'm gonna tell you about have already come true! Maybe they're old news ... Anyway, as I was saying, here are five really cool things that I think are gonna change our lives. Number One. And this is so cute. The musical yo-yo.
COOL HUNTER2:It's small, portable and easy to use. The really cool thing is you power it by playing with it! Just move the yo-yo up and down and it produces all the power you need to listen to your favorite tunes. Cool, huh? And don't worry, your listening won't be disrupted by the movement of the yo-yo: wireless earphones will ensure a smooth, enjoyable listen.
COOL HUNTER3:Number Two is the foldable movie player. Have you ever seen a foldable bike? Yeah? Well, the foldable movie player is kind of the same thing. It's a TV screen made of e paper attached to a small machine that downloads, stores and plays all your favorite movies.
COOL HUNTER4:Now, the beauty of this invention is that it can be adapted to how much space you have. If you're on a busy subway train, just fold open a small screen. If you're in the comfort of your living room, fold it right out so it's the same size as a regular TV. Number Three isn't likely to happen quite as soon. It's the Weather Wand.
COOL HUNTER5:Imagine you could control the weather! Just wave a magic wand and turn rain into sunshine ... We're already learning how to control the weather by using huge mirrors floating in space, so this invention really is possible. Of course, not everyone will be able to decide what the weather will be like on any given day. Can you imagine the arguments?
COOLHUNTER6:A farmer needs rain for his crops but a hill walker wants fine weather for his day's walk? Probably only the government will have control over the weather like this. It could still be controversial, though. According to Chaos Theory, we shouldn't fool around with the natural patterns of nature ... But we probably will, anyway ...
COOL HUNTER7:Invention Number Four will make the word 'house' redundant. In the future, we won't live in houses we'll have Personalized Living Spaces. Imagine a house that's programmed to take care of your every need? It wakes you up, starts your shower at the exact temperature you like, it makes your breakfast, then does the washing up too and when you leave for work, it switches itself off ... Invention number Five is my favorite.
COOL HUNTER8:The Virtual Mirror. Ever wondered what you'll look like five years in the future? Well, the Virtual Mirror can tell you. All you have to do is program it with your daily habits—diet, exercise regime, working hours, daily commute, and so on—and the mirror will give you a 'reflection' of what you'll look like in five years! But don't worry.
COOL HUNTER9:It doesn't stop there. The Virtual Mirror will also tell you exactly what you need to do to look better in the future! Wow! Imagine not just looking into the future, but seeing yourself in it! Now that's really cool.
