通常在国外遗失物品时，要到警察局申报遗 失。失窃证明表单大致如以下，切记必须马上 前往警察局报案，以掌握事发当时的细节。
如果今天遗失的是护照，先到警察局办理失窃证明（Report of Theft)或是遗失证明（Re port of Loss),这样就不用担心有人冒用身份。之后，再凭证明文件至本国驻外大使馆或 代表处补办护照。如果出发前已准备好护照影本，就可以省去多项手续。
