首先，复习一下Surprise的用法

作为名词

It was a nice surprise：真是个好惊喜。

It was a terrible surprise：没意料到的坏事。

另外，别忘记surprises是可数名词，比如I had so many surprises on my birthday! 我生日有好多惊喜！

作为形容词

Surprised：被惊喜、被惊讶到了，形容人的感觉。

I was so surprised to run into him: 真没想到昨天会碰到他。

Surprising：让人惊喜、惊讶的，用于事物。

The final result was surprising for everyone: 最后的结果让所有人惊讶。

Surprise party：惊喜生日派对，名词形容词化使用。

作为动词

He surprised me with a marriage proposal：他向我惊喜求婚。

Surprise就说到这儿，其它还能用哪些词？

Shocked: 震惊（形容人的感受），通常用于不太好的惊讶，而不是惊喜

Shocking: 让人震惊的

Startled: 惊吓、被吓了一跳

Startling: 让人惊吓的、完全出人意料的，通常是比较负面的

Unexpected: 出人意料的。注意，这个词是形容让人出人意料的事情，而不是你的感受。要说Something was unexpected, 而不是someone was unexpected.

再学些好玩的词！

Flabbergasted: 大吃一惊

Dumbfounded: 目瞪口呆

Stupefied: 惊呆了，匪夷所思

这三个词都是形容人的感受。用在句子里，可以这么说：

I was+..., 比如I was so flabbergasted by the news.

最后学几个短语

首先看两个俚语

Out of the blue：出乎意料、非常突然。常用在一个很久没联络的老朋友突然联系你。这个短语千万别忘了中间的the。

My old college roommate contacted me today out of the blue.

Out of nowhere: 意思和out of the blue非常像，更多用于形容实际物体或者一个想法突然显现。

最后，学几个短句

注意，时态基本都是用过去时

I didn't see it coming: 我完全没料到

I totally didn't expect that：同上

I never could have guessed：同上
