洪恩朗文3L看听学英语第四册 Lesson 67
Lesson 67 It's a mystery!
Sue: What' that thing, Sandy?
Sandy: Which thing?
Sue: That thing in the garden.
Sandy: I haven't the faintest idea. Let's ask mother.
Sue: What's that thing, mum?
Mother: I don't know.
Your father brought it home yesterday
and put it in the garded.
Sandy: Let's go and have a look at it.
Mother: I wonder whether it's a garden seat.
Sue: It can't be. It doesn't look like one.
Sandy: I'd like to know if we can use it.
Perhaps it's some kind of garden tool.
Mother: I don't think it is. It doesn't resemble one.
Sue: Perhaps it's some kind of clothe-line.
I wonder whether it is.
Sandy: I doubt it.
Mother: It's a mystery, if you ask me!
Father: It isn't a mystery at all.
It's not supposed to serve a purpose.
It's a work of art! Don't you like it?
