指示代名词


指示代名词是指明一定的人或事物的代名词，以this, that, these, those, such为主；另外， such, so, same 也常用作指示代名词。

1. 指示代名词后不能接名词，如果接名词，即为指示形容词。

This is my stamp album.

这是我的邮册。

This是指示代名词。

This stamp album is mine.

这本邮册是我的。

This是指示形容词。

l 2. 指示代名词可用来代替前面的名词或句子。

I have two sets; you can take this away.

3. this, these一般用来指时间或空间上较近的人或事物；that, those指在时间和空间上较远的人或事物。

4. that和those常用来指上文已讲到的事物；this和these指下文将要讲到的事物。

I like the mountains. That is why I bought it.

我喜欢这山脉。那就是我买它的原因。

5. that, those可以代替前面已提到过的名词，以避免重复。

Its design is not the same as that of others.

它们的设计与众不同。

指代不可数名词只可用that。指代复数可数名词则可用those或the ones。

6. 指示代名词一般都可以用作主语、宾语和主语补语等句子成分。

That is another album of mine.

那是我的另一本邮册。
