1. soil
双语释义：to make sth dirty; (cause sth to) become dirty
[Vt.]（使某物）变脏
典型例句：He refused to soil his hands.
他拒绝干脏活。
I don't want you soiling your hands with this sort of work.
我不希望你干这种工作而是你的手弄张。
2. profess
双语释义：state openly that one has (a belief, feeling, etc)
[Vt.] 公开表明（信仰﹑ 感情等）
典型例句：They professed optimism about the outcome.

4. distance
