Hit Him Again
再砸他呀
A crumbling old church building needed remodeling, so, during his sermon, the preacher made an impassioned appeal looking directly at the richest man in town.
一座摇摇欲坠的老教堂需要重建了。所以，在布道中，牧师对着城里最富有的人慷慨激昂地呼吁了一番。
At the end of the sermon, the rich man stood up and announced, "Pastor, I will contribute $1,000."
布道结束时，那个富有的人站起来宣布说：“牧师，我捐献1000元。”
Just then, plaster fell from the ceilling and struck the rich man on the shoulder.
就在这时，从房顶上掉下来一块灰泥正好砸在他的肩膀上。
He promptly stood back up and shouted, "Pastor, I will increase my donation to $5,000."
他立即又站起来叫道：“牧师，我要多捐些，我捐5000元。”
Before he could sit back down, plaster fell on him again, this time he virtually screamed, "Pastor, I will double my last pledge."
还没等他坐下，灰泥又落在他的肩上，这次他已经是惊声尖叫了：“牧师，我捐10000元。”
He sat down, and a large chunk of plaster fell on his head.
他坐下，又一大块灰泥掉在他的头上。
He stood up once more and hollered, "Pastor, I will give $20,000!"
他再一次站起来，大喊道：“牧师，我捐20000元！”
This prompted a deacon to shout, "Hit him again, Lord! Hit him again!"
这一切使得一个执事叫了出来：“再来啊，主！再砸他呀！”
