ZHENGZHOU -- Six candidates in Central China's Henan Province for the national college entrance examination, or "gaokao," have been punished for organizing substitutes to sit the exam in their place, local education authorities said on Tuesday.
郑州消息，中国中部河南省教育部周二表示，6名高考生因安排他人替自己考试被处理。

河南省招生办公室表示，河南省已经核实杞县、通许县被替考生6名，其中杞县3名，通许3名。杞县、通许县已经调查并控制了考生家长、监考（invigilator）等相关人员23人。
按照《国家教育考试违规处理办法》第六条和第九条对6名替考考生（ghostwriter）作出“报名参加考试的各阶段、各科次成绩（test results）无效，同时给予暂停参加（participate in）各种国家教育考试（any national examinations）3年”的处理。
有关部门将继续调查河南高考替考丑闻（scandal），一旦发现在高考中作弊（cheat）的考生将严肃处理（be dealt with severely）。
