brush sb. off

1. 解词释义

Brush sb. off表示“不理睬某人”“漠视某人”，多用于非正式场合。用连字符将brush和off连在一起就变成了名词，即：brush-off。这样的话，就产生了一个意思和它一样的习语：give sb. a brush-off。
