中国发布黄色高温预警
China's meteorological agency has issued a yellow alert for hot weather in many regions across the country, with temperatures expected to soar above 40 degrees Celsius in some areas.
The National Meteorological Center says highs of over 35 degrees Celsius are expected Friday in southern, southwestern and northwestern China. The Turpan Basin in the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region will also see temperatures of 40 to 44 degrees Celsius.
China has a four-color-coded warning system for severe weather conditions, with red being the most serious, followed by orange, yellow and blue.
