御花园
The Imperial Garden,built in 1417,is the oldest garden in Beijing.It occupies an area of 1.3 hectares at the northern end of the central axis of the former Imperial Palace.
御花园,建于1417年,是北京最古老的花园。它占地面积1.3公顷,位于紫禁城中轴线上月北端。
During the Qing Dynasty the emperor,empress and imperial concubines came to the garden to worship the Cowherd Star and the Girl Weaver Star on the 7th day of the 7th lunary month.
清朝皇帝、皇后和皇妃在7月7来到花园里崇拜牛郎星和织女星。
On the Mid-Autumn Festival they came here to offer a sacrifice to the moon, and on the double-Ninth Festival the 9th day of the 9th lunary month they came here to ascend the Hill of Collecting Excellence in the garden and enjoy scenic beauty within and outside the Imperial Palace.
中秋节他们来到这里祭祀月亮,重阳节九月的第九天他们来到爬园里的堆秀山,享受皇宫内外美丽的风景。
The main scenic spot in the northeastern part is the Hill of Collecting Excellence.The Pavilion of Imperial Landscape stands on the hill.
