危地马拉山体滑坡致30人死亡
A devastating landslide has hit the outskirts of Guatemala City, the country's capital, leaving at least 30 people dead and several hundreds missing. Authorities say 29 of the thirty dead are already identified.
The victims include at least three children. It's estimated that 600 people are missing. Rescue workers are still searching for survivors. Thirty-four people have been pulled out alive from the mud and rubble so far.
The landslide was triggered by heavy rain late Thursday. Eight people had already died in previous similar events related to Guatemala's rainy season, which lasts from May to November.
