Putin rules out ground operation in Syria

Russian President Vladimir Putin has ruled out the possibility of sending Russian troops for ground operations in Syria.
Putin make the remark in an interview with the Rossiya-24 TV channel. He said Russia won't do it, no matter what happens. He also responded to allegations from Western countries and media that the Russian air campaign in Syria has not targeted the Islamic State and has led to civilian casualties.
Putin said Russia conducted enough reconnaissance before launching the counter-terror attacks. He said Moscow notified the United States and other partners of its intentions and plans in Syria beforehand.
