An evaluation report on the "Double Eleven" (singles' day) shopping spree has been released in Beijing, offering insights into China's largest annual online shopping event.

The report shows Cases of dishonesty connected to e-commerce platforms and enterprises, logistics companies, third-party payment platforms and consumers in a five-day period from Nov 11 to 15 increased 57.49% compared to last year.
报告显示,今年11月11日至15日五天期间,涉及电商平台、电商企业、物流公司、第三方支付机构、消费者等主体的失信案例数量同比增加57.49%。
Sales of counterfeit products represent nearly 45% of those cases, 18.2% higher than last year. Bad feedback from consumers, frequent returns of goods, and complaints have been plenty. Some sellers use unreal low price as a business trap to promote their products.
其中涉嫌售假的占比近45%,同比去年上升18.2%。消费者差评、频繁退货、投诉案例也很多。部分商家通过虚假低价的商业陷阱来促销商品。
The report shows double-eleven has become the biggest shopping event for the Chinese e-commerce industry, with Taobao, Tmall and JD.com leading the way.
报告同时也显示,双十一已经成为由淘宝,天猫,京东领衔的电商的最大购物活动。
To tackle the problems, the report suggests that e-commerce laws should be developed as soon as possible. It also calls for the establishment of an online credit system to strengthen the discipline of the e-commerce industry.
为了解决上述问题,报告建议应尽快制定电子商务法。同时,该报告还呼吁应建立一个在线信用体系,以此加强对电子商务行业的纪律监督。
