A teenager from China was so keen to find out whether or not his father loves him he faked his own kidnapping.
中国一名少年由于过于渴望弄清楚他的父亲是否真的爱他，便假装自己被绑架了。
The 18-year-old, surnamed Zhu, filmed himself being bound, gagged and beaten up by two accomplices before sending the footage to his father, according to media.
据媒体报道，这位18岁的朱姓男子拍摄了自己被两名共犯束缚、塞口和殴打的视频，之后将其传给他的父亲。
The university student is also said to have demanded his father pay a ransom of 100,000 yuan (11,238 pound) to stop the 'kidnappers' from selling his organs.
据称，这名大学生还要求他的父亲支付10万元（11238英镑）的赎金，以防“绑架者”卖掉他的器官。
The incident took place in the evening of July 13 in Taizhou, eastern China's Jiangsu Province, reported Huanqiu.com, an affiliation to People's Daily.

The report said Zhu was from another Chinese city, Yan'an, and was working in Taizhou during the summer holiday.
该报道称，朱某来自中国的另外一座城市，延安，暑假期间他在泰州打工。
Zhu's father immediately contacted the police before driving from Yan'an to Taizhou. The report said that the police soon realised the kidnapping had been planned by the teenager himself.
朱某的父亲在驱车从延安赶往泰州之前立即联系了警方。报道指出，警方不久就发现此次绑架是由朱某自己一手计划的。
Police said Zhu had masterminded the kidnapping because he had always felt that his father didn't care about him, so he wanted to test if he was really loved.
警方表示，朱某策划了此次绑架，因为他一直觉得他的父亲不关心他，因此他想要测试他是否真的爱他。
Police said Zhu had realised his mistake and promised to apologise to his family.
警方称，朱某已经意识到了自己的错误，并承诺向家人道歉。
