Doctors in the western Indian state of Gujarat have successfully extracted seven teeth from a one-month old infant.
印度西部古吉拉特邦的医生，成功地从一名一个月大的婴儿口中拔除了7颗牙齿。
"The baby is doing fine now," dental surgeon Dr Meet Ramatri, who carried out the operation in August told BBC.
在8月份进行手术的牙医米特·拉玛崔依向BBC透露：“这名婴儿现在完全康复了”。
He said that the procedure was carried out in two stages. They first extracted four teeth, and then the other three.
他表示，手术分两个阶段进行。他们第一次拔掉了4颗，后来又拔掉了另外3颗。
The baby's teeth were discovered a few days after his birth. His parents took him to a paediatrician when he had difficulty breastfeeding.
这名婴儿在出生几天后就被发现长了这些牙齿。由于担心母乳喂养困难，他的父母带他去看一名儿科医生。
Upon examining the infant, the paediatrician found white tissue in his mouth and referred the family to Dr Ramatri.
在对婴儿进行检查后，这名儿科医生在他嘴巴里发现了白色组织，介绍这家人去找拉玛崔依医生。
"When I examined him, I found that he had seven teeth," Dr Ramatri told BBC. "Sometimes you see tips (of the teeth) in newborns but they don't grow for a while. In this case, the teeth were fully out."
拉玛崔依医生向BBC透露：“当我为他检查时，我发现他长了七颗牙齿。有时，你会在新生儿的口腔里发现（牙齿的）小尖，但它们短时间内不会长出来。但是在这个案例中，牙齿已经完全长出来了。”
While Dr Ramatri said he had not read about a case like this before, he felt that it was not necessarily abnormal.
尽管拉玛崔依医生表示他以前没有遇到过类似的案例，但他也认为这并不一定不正常。
"It is a normal biological process. It happened early in this case. It is hard to say if the surgery would interfere with how the baby's teeth would grow in the future," he said.
他说道；“这是一个正常的生物学过程。只是这个婴儿发生的比较早。目前还很难说这次手术是否会对这名婴儿牙齿将来的发育造成影响。”
