A women's soccer game between Canberra FC and Belconnen United Blue Devils at Deakin, Australia, was delayed for half an hour after a large grey kangaroo hopped onto the field.
A clip of the incident shows the marsupial leaping over a fence to get into the pitch during halftime, then setting itself in front of the goal, presumably becoming the first goalie of its kind.
It leaves for the car park but returns during the second half of play, scaring away players as it bounds across the field.
Officials tried to shoo it away with a ball but the kangaroo simply played around with it, giving it a few kicks and even sent "a good quality pass."
The Belconn United coach wasn't too impressed, though, with the animal subbing in. So he got on his ute and managed to corral it out the gate.
Russ Gibbs, who was commentating on the women's football game in Canberra, said it was the first time he'd seen such a pitch invasion in his 15 years of football commentary. "It was one of the weirdest things I've ever commentated on."
