Global foreign direct investment plunged by 42 percent in 2020, a new report by the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development showed on Sunday, while China bucked the trend, becoming the world's top recipient of investment flows.

Flows to Europe dried up, tumbling by two-thirds, it noted.
