The United Kingdom and France signed an agreement on Monday to tackle the issue of migrants trying to enter the country by crossing the English Channel in small boats.

The agreement includes the British government paying France 72.2m euros ($74.5m) toward the cost of patrolling French beaches during 2022 and 2023.
