M.C.S. SCARLETT, silhouetted against the dawn, straightens up, starts to eat the radish, it makes her sick, CAMERA starts to dolly in. She retches, falls to the ground, sobs. She rises slowly, CAMERA pans up with her and moves to big C.U. She looks heavenword and raises her fist.
SCARLETT: As god as my witness- as god as my witness, they're not going to lick me. I am going to live through this, and when it is all over,I'll never be hungry again. No, nor nay of my folks. If I have to lie, steal, cheat, or kill.
