Tropical storm Fung Wong has swept East China, after making landfall late Monday. The tropical storm cause huge economic losses for many people in Fujian and Zhejiang provinces.
Fung Wong flexed its muscles, dumping extremely heavy rain when it made landfall in Fujian province Monday. Streets were flooded and people were forced to give up motorized transport for foot power.

One resident of Putian, Fujian said "My motorcycle stopped working. I have to go by foot. You see the water reaches to my knee."
By late Tuesday evening, over a hundred flights had been canceled at Changle International Airport in Fuzhou city.
Fung Wong has also swept Zhejiang province, flooding streets and stranding many people in their apartments.
The provincial maritime bureau called back all vessels in Zhejiang.
The national flood control and drought relief headquarters reports over 1.5 million people in Fujian and Zhejiang have been affected by Fung Wong. Economic losses in the two provinces reached 90 million yuan.
The typhoon has weakened into a tropical storm and is moving northwest into Jiangxi Province. Three days of heavy rain is forecast for northern areas of Jiangxi.
