妥善安置四川汶川大地震灾区1400多万被转移的受灾群众，是中共中央总书记、国家主席、中央军委主席胡锦涛高度关注的问题。继3天前赴浙江省湖州市考察救灾帐篷生产情况后，胡锦涛又于25日来到河北省廊坊市，实地考察救灾过渡安置房生产情况。

China's top leader, Hu Jintao, visited two factories that had received orders for 19,500 pre-fab houses, urging them to produce as many as possible to meet the needs of the quake survivors.

国家主席胡锦涛参观了两家承担19500套活动房生产任务的工厂，要求他们抓紧生产进度以满足受灾群众的需求。

During his stay, Hu was shown around so that he could learn about these temporary dwellings. He thanked the factory workers on behalf of the CPC Central Committee and the State Council, while highlighting the importance of manufacturing housing for survivors.

考察期间，胡锦涛参观了这些过渡安置房的生产过程。他代表中共中央和国务院对工人们表示感谢，同时强调了这些安置房生产任务的重要性。

上述报道中，pre-fab house是“活动房”，完整的形式是pre-fabricated house，在安置受灾群众的时候，这些活动房都被称为“过渡安置房”，即temporary dwellings。这段时间，受灾群众住的地方除了tent（帐篷）以外，还有makeshift shelters（简易过渡房）。
