THE STOVE IS SOLD AGAIN
火炉再次被售卖
By and by the key turned in the lock of the door. He heard heavy footsteps and the voice of the man who had said to him, “You are like a little mad dog.” The voice said, “Now you shall see what I have bought for two hundred florins. Never did you do such a piece of work.”

Then they began to strip the stove of its wrappings. Soon they uncovered it; that he knew by the exclamations of wonder which broke from the man who had not seen it before.

After a while they seemed to agree to something, and were in great glee. He had made out from their talk that they were going to show Hirschvogel to some great person.
