The Princess and the Pea
豌豆公主
This is an old story by Hans Christian Andersen.

It's a story about a prince looking for a princess to marry.

The prince is not happy. He wants to marry a princess.
王子不开心。他想娶一位公主。
He looks everywhere. He cannot find a princess.
他到处找。他找不到公主。
He meets many princesses. Some are too old, some are too small or too big.
他遇到了很多公主。有的太老了，有的太娇小了，有的太健壮了。
Some are not beautiful. One day a girl comes to his castle.
有些并不漂亮。一天，一个女孩来到他的城堡。
It is raining. "I'm a princess," she says. "I need a bed."
天下着雨。“我是公主，”她说。“我需要一张床。”
The prince likes the girl, but he does not think she is a princess. He has an idea.
王子喜欢这个女孩，但他不认为她是公主。他有了一个主意。
The prince makes a bed for her. He puts a pea under 23 mattresses!
王子为她做了一张床。他在23张床垫下放了一粒豌豆！
The next morning the prince talks to the girl.
第二天早上，王子和女孩说话。
"I am black and blue," she says. "Your bed is so hard."
“我浑身是伤，”她说。“你的床太硬了。”
The prince thinks, "Only a princess can feel the pea under those mattresses! Only a princess is so soft." He asks, "Will you marry me?"
王子想，“只有公主才能感觉到床垫下的豌豆！只有公主的身体才这么柔软。”他问，“你愿意嫁给我吗？”
The prince and his princess take the pea to a museum. Now everyone can see it.
王子和公主把豌豆带到了博物馆。现在每个人都可以看到它了。
