1.imperial adj. 帝国(王)的,至尊的,特大的

如：The time has come to abandon the romantic view of Imperial history.
现在已经到了抛弃帝国历史的幻想的时候了。

2.shallow adj. 浅的,肤浅的,浅显易懂的

如：Our ship grounded in shallow water/on a sandbank.

The rain ran in shallow runnels alongside the path.

3.clove v. 劈开 n. 丁香

如：The clove is in full bloom.
丁香盛开着。

She put several cloves of garlic in the dish.

4.crumble v. 崩溃, 弄碎, 减亡

如：The earthquake made the wall sink and start to crumble.
这次地震把这堵墙震得下陷并开始崩塌.

5.approximately adv. 近似地, 大约

如：Approximately has400 pages when this book is completed.
