1.snip off v. 剪掉，绞掉
如：His mother is in the garden, snipping off the dead roses.
他母亲在花园里，剪下凋谢的玫瑰。
He snipped off the corner of the milk carton.
他剪掉牛奶袋的边角。
2.enlarge v. 扩大，增大
如：I planned to enlarge this photograph.
我计划放大这张照片。
I needn't enlarge upon this matter; you all know my views.

3.emerge vi. 浮现，(由某种状态)脱出，(事实)显现出来
如：It has emerged that he stole the money.
最终发现，是他偷了那笔钱。
The sun emerged from behind the clouds.
